Why wax?

Waxing is one of the best methods of temporary hair removal. It is more effective than shaving because it removes the entire hair from the root, not just from the surface of the skin providing longer lasting results. Over time, and with repeated waxing, unwanted hair grows back finer and sparser..

01

How long will the results last?

After your first wax, the results can last 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the individual’s hair re-growth. With regular waxing, the length of time required between treatments will increase significantly.

02

What to do before waxing?

Intimate hygiene is very important. Do not use body lotion, body oil and exfoliate the skin at least once a week, thats helps on the results.

The hair can't be too short or too long. The hairs have to be about 1/4 of a inch long.

You can have a bikini wax during your period. However, if you are sensitive during your menstrual cycle, you might want to avoid a bikini wax during those days.

03

How long does waxing take?

Depending on the body part and the density of the hair growth, your waxing appointment will take between 15 to 90 minutes. First appointments typically take a little longer as there may be more tweezing to achieve the cleanest results. For a woman’s Brazilian you can expect 30 to 45 minutes. Thorough results are my goal, not speed.  Your satisfaction is important to me.

04

What after-care do I need to follow?

Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24 hours. This means:

  • No hot baths or showers (warm water only).

  • No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).

  • No sport, gym work or other exercise.

  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.

  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist for 24 hours.

Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours.
